The Research Puppet

This is a photo of my mother in the mid 80’s holding a self-marionette, more or less the size of our projected future people. The Incredible Shrinking Man is developing tools to investigate what it would be like to be 50 centimeters. One of these tools is a restaurant for the very small, another a 50 centimeter  research puppet, operated by a puppeteer.  It will investigate some of the challenges we’ll need to overcome as a small person, but also map the exciting new possibilities.

The Incredible Shrinking Man invites you to formulate questions for this research tool. What should the puppet investigate? And what tools and sensors should it have? We can think of a small camera mounted to the head to paint a visual picture. And Natalie Jeremijenko opened our eyes to the fact that on 50 centimeters air pollution on the street is much much higher, so we should investigate micro-climates. But what else? Your suggestions are very welcome.
