Plus Size Camouflage

One of the more complicated issues in shrinking the human species is how to deal with generational size differences. New generations will be smaller than older generations. Heleen Klopper, a designer especially interested in textiles, speculates on a future fashion and make-up of camouflaging the large as well as the small. High heels, vertical stripes, short hair and solid colors can make you look taller whereas horizontal stripes, flat shoes, wearing a longer top, or mixing dark and light colors makes you look smaller. Although this obviously will not take the physical size differences away, it visually brings large and small closer together. Perhaps the visual connection will prevent people from embracing traditional patterns of size-based oppression?
