Shrinking Man Workshop
If we decide to shrink the human species to 50 centimeters, this will have huge consequences for the way we’ll live, work and play. Just imagine the amount of space and resources that will become available. And what do we do with cats and dogs? How do we protect ourselves from the elements? And what happens in the transition fase when some people are big and some are already small?
The Incredible Shrinking Man organizes a series of speculative design workshops in cooperation with the talented (and well equiped) people of Fablab Amsterdam. Goal of the workshops is to create speculative design projects about the challenges and opportunities we’ll face at 50 centimeters. The lab facilitates several possibilities in the fields of casting, laser cutting, embroidery and milling.
