Turtles All The Way Down

There exists an inescapable logic in the relationship between that which supports and what is being supported. The support should be strong enough to carry what is on top of it. In the logic of “Turtles all the way down” which states that the planet is supported by an infinite tower of increasingly large turtles, we are the smallest turtle. But as we continue to grow larger we are in danger of becoming as big or even bigger than the turtle that supports us, which would ultimately lead to the collapse of that supporting turtle. Therefor, the only thing we should become at this point is smaller so that our generous turtle supporters will continue to carry us into infinity. It’s impossible to outgrow our support system, and even if, why would we want to?
