Japanese Miniatures: Prepping Tiny Plastic Food

The consequences of shrinking the human body for the world’s food situation is a main topic of research for The Incredible Shrinking Man. One chicken could feed up to 100 people if we are 50 centimeters. That’s why it would be unwise to shrink agricultural products and livestock along with us. Still, there is something quite interesting in looking at miniature food.

We discussed the relationship between small foods and entertainment but this VIDEO takes it to a level of which we are unsure. Over the past months we watched it time and again to see if and how it could be important to our investigation. There must be more to this fascination with tiny food, and its symbolic preparation.  Are there clues hidden in the choreography of big fingers preparing tiny plastic noodle soups?-ment
